WHAT IS AN ENCOUNTER RETREAT?
God’s heart is to see people achieve personal and lasting freedom. Jesus said : “If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free. If the Son sets you free, you are free indeed”.
An ENCOUNTER retreat is a weekend course in freedom – freedom from habits, bondages and past failures. At the Encounter weekend, we allow the Holy Spirit to minister freedom through the power of Christ’s cross, restoring lasting peace and real joy.
WHO IS IT FOR?
Everyone! …everyone who desires an encounter with God! … everyone who wants more of God in their life! … everyone who seeks to experience liberation from personal “growth inhibitors”!
WHO WILL BE THERE?
Each Encounter retreat is led by one of Petra’s leaders, with a team of supportive leaders specifically coached for this ministry. Men, women and youth attend separate Encounters.
WHAT WILL THE COST OF THE ENCOUNTER COVER?
Costs are dependent upon which conference centre is used, and it will include two nights stay and six good meals.
WHAT IS THE SCHEDULE?
The Encounter begins on the Friday evening at 6.00pm for registration and room allocation, followed by a meal and the first ministry session of the weekend. Sessions continue throughout Saturday until 2pm Sunday.
LEADERS’ ENCOUNTER
Special encounters are designed for pastors and cell leaders, specifically programmed to enhance their spiritual development and to promote their ministry.
WHAT CAN YOU DO?
- Register - email at info@petraministries.org or call our office at 0845-276-6540 or speak to one of our cell leaders.
- Attend a Petra Life Group – your cell leader will personally prepare you to receive the maximum value for your weekend investment. If you attend Petra Church and you do not belong to a cell group and you want help finding one, call our office or fill out a form in church.
